 This role is based in Austinmer, NSW. 

Job Description:

Technical Traders are responsible for oversight of live trading systems and training of graduates.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Meeting Tibra’s market maker quoting obligations
  2. Support the development of junior traders and quants including training, mentoring and providing constructive feedback
  3. Growing the profitability of your trading product
  4. Full responsibility for individual P&L ensuring exceptional contributions to Tibra’s profitability
  5. Understanding your market and product through thorough analysis
  6. Maintaining low/appropriate risk levels
  7. Identify and implement new trading opportunities and products
  8. Build and improve on existing trading strategies
  9. Contribute to the efficiency of trading by suggesting improvements and new ideas for process and system development
  10. Carrying out any other Trading related requests from Team Leader or Head of Trading Desk

 

Experience & Skills:

  1. 5+ years trading experience
  2. Highly advanced mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  3. Thorough knowledge and of financial markets and associated products
  4. Theoretical understanding of derivatives (and other products)
  5. Knowledge and use of Orc and Trading Systems
  6. Effectively communicating trade and market information amongst the desk

 

Qualifications:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or Actuarial Studies
  2. Highly advanced mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  3. Thorough knowledge and of financial markets and associated products
