The Team

The Operations department is a critical enabling function, in charge of building and maintaining reliable and secure global systems that can evolve to meet the business’ changing needs. This ensures uninterrupted availability of Tibra’s core trading, network, communications and desktop infrastructure. Additionally, the team maintains and provides IT support to staff across all offices globally.

The Role

The role supports Tibra’s desktop environment, as well as providing operational support to Tibra’s team of infrastructure engineers. The key responsibilities include:

  • Providing prompt first line support to Tibra’s Windows based desktop environment, including setup, migration, upgrade and maintenance of hardware, operating systems and software
  • Daily housekeeping of backup systems and backup restorations
  • Providing support to the Infrastructure Engineers for server builds and data centre maintenance
  • Producing and updating relevant documentation in a timely manner
  • Diagnosing basic network issues and configuration changes
  • Liaising with vendors and other service providers
  • Supporting the planning and execution of project work

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on systems in a real-time environment
  • Experience working in an environment with substantial custom software support
  • Ability to prioritise workflow based on urgency, complexity and size
  • Be a reliable quick thinker who can work under pressure
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player but also a self-starter that can work independently
